Today, I’m going to take you through step 1. The F.O.R.M. Method.

F.O.R.M. stands for Family, Occupation, Recreation, Motivation and we’ll be diving more into the questions to use with your prospects with this article.

The F.O.R.M method allows you to build rapport first with your prospect on Facebook.

People need to know, like and trust you before they’ll be ready to hand over any money to you.

If you go to a straight pitch, the likelihood of getting a sale is next to none.

Sign Youve Been Looking For

Have you ever had these sorts of questions pitched to you?

  • Can I ask you a question?
  • Do you keep your business options open?

These questions are from outdated MLM prospecting scripts and they DON'T WORK!!!

These types of questions always put people's defenses up, including mine!!!

I'll share with you a few tips to help with your online prospecting as I can see you're pretty passionate to succeed with your online business.

The first question, asking if it's ok if you ask the prospect a question, already devalues your the product or service that you want to offer to them.

If it has the importance it would be something that demands attention and that you would be excited to share with people.

The second question always throws up alarms bells with people if you're wanting to know if their business options are open.

You are a stranger to these people, wouldn't it be right to get to know them first?

TIP # 1: Words To Use and To Avoid When Prospecting on Facebook

There are certain words that invite and entice your prospect to take action when you're messaging or speaking to them.

Treat your Facebook prospects the same as people that you first meet at a networking event.

If you can master the F.O.R.M method then you can build rapport with anyone fast, even offline!

Words and Phrases to AVOID

  • We can help you...
  • We have a unique...
  • We now can offer...
  • That is one thing that my company...
  • I am sure you will see...
  • I know that this is a perfect fit...
  • I need to tell you...
  • I have an exemptional...
  • We are better..
  • My Company
  • I
  • My
  • Me

Words and Phrases to USE

  • What you...
  • You Said...
  • Yes, you can, have you...
  • Have you ever thought about...
  • Have you considered...
  • What would it be worth to you?
  • How would you...
  • Where would you put...
  • When would you like to implement...
  • Why would you want to...

To get started, you want to build rapport first.

This can be established by using the F.O.R.M method.

Love Me

TIP # 2: Use The F.O.R.M. Method

Asking questions like:

F = Family

How was your day?

where are you from?

What have you been up to?

How are you enjoying the school holidays?

Oh I notice that you have kids, I have two kids myself etc

O = Occupation

What do you do for work?

How's it been going?

Are you having a great year?

What projects are you working on?

R = Recreation

What sports are you interest in?

What's your favorite hobby?

What do you do outside of work for fun?

M = Motive or Message

(The reason why you have reached out)
NOTE: Look at solving their pains or problems.
I have this product X that you may be interested in. I can show you how Product X can produce results in X days etc.
If I was to show you X would you be interested in checking out Y?
I can provide you with training on X to be able to produce Y results in your business, Can I show you a quick Z?

The Correct Way To Prospect On Facebook

I guarantee you that if you start using the F.O.R.M. method online or offline for networking events you will establish deep and meaningful friendships and bond with the people with a common interest fast.

You will also have a higher chance of closing your sales.

Facebook Follow-up

TIP #3: Follow-Up With Your Prospects on Facebook

An important part of prospecting on Facebook is establishing touch points with your friends.

This is having multiple interactions with your prospects and engaging in conversation with them.

If you've been in the marketing world for a while, you've probably heard of the Rule of 7.

It's been proven that the more positive contact that you have with a prospect, the easier it is to develop and maintain relationships and ultimately, close more sales.

The marketing rule of 7 states that a prospect needs to see your message at least 7 to 9 times (different studies have concluded this) before they'll take action and make a buying decision.
